Cornerstone Grains grain elevator facility, Drummond North Elmsley

It was a pleasure to recently meet Julie and Andrew Dawson and learn more about their family-run agricultural business, Cornerstone Grains, located in Drummond North Elmsley.

Cornerstone Grains is a provincially licensed, full-service grain elevator serving farmers throughout Lanark County and the Ottawa Valley. Their state-of-the-art facility provides grain transportation and logistics, analysis, storage, drying, and commodity marketing options. The Dawson family continues to invest in the operation, with new equipment currently being installed to increase capacity and improve efficiency.

The family also operates Mississippi Berries, a popular pick-your-own strawberry farm located between Lanark and Balderson.

Congratulations to the Dawson family on building and growing such an impressive local agricultural business. Their entrepreneurial spirit, continued investment, and commitment to agriculture are great examples of the innovation and hard work happening right here in our community.
